An employee with a perfect memory who works while you sleep — for less than one week of a receptionist's pay.
No slide deck. No feature grid. Just me, telling you what a Buddy is, what it costs, and the math I'd run if I were sitting in your chair. Five-minute read.
Every price is on this page, in dollars, before you ever talk to me. That's house policy.
I'll open with a thing that happened, not a promise.
A rejection letter hit one of my client's phone lines at 8 AM. Registration paperwork, kicked back by the carrier. That's the kind of problem that normally sits in an inbox for a week getting more expensive.
By 9 AM, my Buddy had found the problem, fixed the paperwork, and resubmitted it — while I was on a call with somebody else.
I didn't do that. I was busy. I'm just a dude. The memory's the machine.
That machine has a name now, because clients kept asking what to call it. It's a Buddy. I build them, and I install them on business owners' computers. This letter is me explaining why you might want one.
The 11 PM inventory, and how it ends.
You know the list. You're in bed, it's 11 PM, and your brain starts the audit: Did the quote for the Hendersons ever go out? Did I answer the guy who texted about Tuesday? What did I promise the inspector? What am I forgetting that's going to cost me?
Every owner I've ever worked with runs that list. I ran it for years myself. I've owned a bakery, escape rooms, and rental properties, and every one of them had its own version of the quote that never went out, the promise that evaporated, the follow-up that quietly died.
Here's the real product, underneath all of it: nothing slips. Not the quote. Not the promise. Not the follow-up. Everything is written down in one place, and something with a perfect memory is checking it while you sleep. You go to bed and the list is just... handled.
That feeling is what I sell. The AI is just how we get there.
Okay, so what is a Buddy?
Two things, living on your computer.
One: a memory. Every client, every price, every promise, every job — plain files on your machine that you can open and read like a filing cabinet. Not my cloud. Not a subscription that holds your business hostage. Yours.
Two: an employee that reads it perfectly. An AI you talk to in plain English, loaded with your business. Ask it "did we ever quote Henderson?" and it answers from your own records. Tell it "draft follow-ups for everyone who went quiet this month" and it writes them in your voice, because it learned your voice from your own words.
It works at 5 AM. It doesn't call in sick. It can't forget, because forgetting isn't a thing it does. An employee is supposed to be an asset, not a liability — this one actually behaves like one.
Let's do the math out loud.
A $20-an-hour office employee runs you about $3,500 a month once payroll taxes say hello. Good people are worth every penny — and they still forget things, because they're people.
A Buddy is $4,500, once. After that, about $150 a month for the AI that powers it. And I want to be completely plain about where that $150 goes: straight to Anthropic, the AI company. You pay them directly, on your own account. I don't resell access, I don't mark it up, I never touch it. If a consultant is quietly clipping your software bill, ask him why.
Now picture it the way I do. Imagine your best employee, having their best day ever — except it's every day, 24/7/365. Never sick, never distracted, never "I forgot." That's what you're plugging in.
My rule on everything I sell: I have to make you more than I cost you. One dropped $4,000 quote caught in month one and the Buddy has paid for itself. Most businesses I look at are losing more than that every month and calling it normal.
You're not buying software. You're buying certainty.
What you're buying is a working employee on your machine by Tuesday — loaded with your clients, your pricing, and your voice — and my phone number when something needs attention.
People do business with people they know, like, and trust. That's the whole reason Schreier Group exists: the comfort of knowing there's a real person who has done this before, standing behind the thing, answering the phone. That comfort is the product. Everything else is parts.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. I've already taken every one of these bites — about a dozen times — so you don't have to.
What you actually get.
The Buddy Install
- Your Buddy, built on your machine — loaded with your clients, your pricing, your voice
- One working automation of your choice at handoff: morning debrief, quote-writer, follow-up engine, or review responder
- A half-day of training — you plus whoever runs your office
- 90 days of adjustments while it settles into your week
The founding deal, honestly: the first 3 installs go for $2,500 in exchange for a filmed testimonial. You save $2,000; I get receipts on camera. I can do 2 installs a month, so "3 spots" isn't a countdown timer trick — it's my calendar.
Buddy Care
For owners who want it maintained, improved, and answered for.
- Monthly tune-up — the memory stays clean and current
- New automations built as your business changes
- The "it broke" hotline — you call, I fix
Completely optional. I'll offer it near the end of your 90-day window, when you know exactly what your Buddy is worth to you. Not before.
The Diagnostic
Not sure yet? Fair. Start here.
- I sit down with your business and show you, specifically, what a Buddy would have caught last month
- You leave with the list whether you hire me or not
So the diagnostic is free if you move forward, and honest work if you don't.
"For 90 days, everything on your install sheet is my problem. It breaks, I fix it. It drifts, I tune it. No charge, no argument."— The guarantee, word for word
Black and white on purpose: at handoff we sign a one-page install sheet listing exactly what your Buddy does — the brain loaded, your automation working, your team trained. For 90 days, every line on that sheet stays true at no charge. A written list, kept working. That's the whole guarantee, and it's the same language that goes in the contract.
The three questions everybody asks.
"Is my data safe?"
It lives on your machine, not my cloud. There is no Todd-server somewhere holding your customer list. You can open every file and read it yourself — it's your filing cabinet. I just built the drawers.
"I'm not technical."
That's the point. You talk to it like an employee: "What's on my plate today?" "Write the Henderson quote." "Who haven't we followed up with?" If you can text a foreman, you can run a Buddy. The half-day of training exists so you never have to guess.
"Doesn't AI make stuff up?"
Loose AI on the open internet does. This one cites its own files — your files. When it says the Henderson quote went out on the 14th, it shows you the paper. Open the drawer and check. That's the difference between an employee with receipts and a guy with vibes.
Which one can you stomach today?
I don't do yes-or-no questions — they come with a built-in no. So here are your two paths: the $250 diagnostic if you want proof first, or the install if you're already running the 11 PM list and you'd like to stop.
Tell me what's slipping.
Got it. It's written down.
Which is kind of the whole point. I read every one of these myself and I'll get back to you within one business day.
