PARTLY
Partly true: Zeely is a real AI ad builder that can push Meta campaigns, but 'drop your app link and launch in 2 clicks' skips the ad spend, the up to 12% fee and a pile of billing complaints
The claim'Building an app is only half the work, getting users is the real challenge. Zeely AI works as your marketing partner: drop your app link, and it generates targeted ad copy, prepares visuals, and launches your campaign in 2 clicks!' Link card: 'I create top-selling ads with AI' and 'Get 70% OFF', aimed at solo web app developers.
Zeely is a real company and a real product. Zeely, Inc. lists a Delaware address, says it has over 2 million users, calls itself a Meta Business Partner, and its own guide says it turns your choices into a Meta Ads campaign that goes into Meta's review queue and runs on Facebook and Instagram once approved. So the core mechanic, paste a link, get AI copy and visuals, push a campaign, exists. What the ad leaves out is the money. Plans on its pricing page run $29.95, $49.95 and $79.95 a month (shown as cut from $49.95 to $149.95, which is roughly 40 to 47 percent off, not the 70 percent in the ad), with weekly and quarterly plans also mentioned. Ad spend is paid on top, and the FAQ says Zeely may charge up to 12 percent on it. Trustpilot shows 4.3 stars on about 4,200 reviews, but 12 percent are one star and the recurring themes are charges after cancelling, credits lost on cancel and slow support. The 'app link' pitch is the weakest part: Zeely's own walkthrough talks about website and product links, and app install campaigns on Meta need your app registered and tracking set up before any tool can optimize for installs. 'Top-selling ads' is a slogan, not a result anyone measured.
What holds up
- Read zeely.ai: Zeely, Inc., 2810 N Church St, Wilmington, DE; 'over 2 million users'; describes itself as a Meta Business Partner that lets you 'create and run ads on Meta directly from Zeely'.
- Read zeely.ai/pricing (Oct 8, 2026): Starter $29.95/mo, Plus $49.95/mo, Growth $79.95/mo with 2,500 to 10,000 credits; FAQ says running Facebook and Instagram ads involves additional charges, 'with Zeely potentially charging up to 12%'; weekly, bi-monthly and quarterly plans also exist.
- Read Zeely's 'How Zeely works' guide: you paste a website or product link (or upload photos), set a budget, and ads go to Meta review. No mention of App Store or Google Play links or app install setup.
- Read trustpilot.com/review/zeely.ai: 4.3 stars on 4,208 reviews, 65 percent five star, 12 percent one star; one-star reviews repeat the same themes (charged after cancelling, credits gone on cancel, bot support loop); the company replies to nearly all negative reviews.
- The post itself is a sponsored ad from Zeely's own page; the top comment is 'Dream on'.
What doesn’t
- 'Launches your campaign in 2 clicks' hides two bills: the Zeely subscription and the Meta ad spend, with up to 12 percent added by Zeely on top.
- '70% OFF' does not match the discounts shown on the live pricing page (about 40 to 47 percent), and introductory plan terms are not spelled out there.
- Pitched at app developers, but the product's own docs describe website and product links; app install campaigns need Meta app setup no ad tool skips.
- Recurring billing and cancellation complaints on Trustpilot; treat it as a subscription you must actively cancel.
The catch
Zeely can save a solo founder the blank-page work of writing ad copy and making first creatives, and it can push them to Meta. It cannot make an unproven app sell, it does not replace install tracking, and the true monthly cost is subscription plus ad spend plus up to 12 percent.
How to actually do it
- Before any ad tool, register your app in Meta for Developers, install the Meta SDK or a mobile measurement partner, and confirm install events show up in Events Manager.
- Draft 3 to 5 ad angles yourself (or with any AI chat tool), make simple creatives from real app screenshots, and run a small Advantage+ app campaign in Meta Ads Manager at $20 to $30 a day for a week.
- If you try Zeely, pay by a card you can freeze, screenshot the plan and renewal terms at checkout, set a calendar reminder before renewal, and cancel in account settings and keep the confirmation.
- Judge any tool on cost per install and day 7 retention, not on how fast it built the ad.
Zeely is real, sells monthly and weekly plans, and does push campaigns to Meta. The ad oversells it as a 2-click growth engine for apps while leaving out ad spend, the up to 12 percent fee, the real size of the discount and the billing complaints.
