PARTLY

Partly true: Wron.ai really builds simple mobile apps from a chat prompt and can publish them, but 'imagine being unemployed when this exists' skips the paid plan, App Store review and the hard part, which is getting downloads

Facebook · Oct 2026

The claimOn-screen steps: 'Imagine being unemployed when this exists.' Go to ChatGPT, copy an app idea, go to Wron.ai, click App builder, paste the prompt, 'let it cook for few minutes', get 'a fully functioning app ready to be monetized in the App Store', use RevenueCat 'to get paid for every app download', publish to the App Store, 'Build UNLIMITED apps w/ Wron.ai'. 'Comment App if you want the link.'

Wron.ai is a real AI app builder: its site says you describe an app in plain words and it builds a native app you can test on your phone and publish to the App Store and Play Store, with a niche finder and an ad library on top. The demo shows a plausible result, a subscription-tracker app with dummy data. What the reel leaves out is most of the work and the cost. Building costs credits on a paid plan (listed at $4.99 to $29.99 a month billed annually, after a heavily advertised discount), and 'unlimited' apps is only the top Studio tier. Publishing to Apple needs your own $99-a-year developer account and passing App Review, which regularly rejects thin template apps under its spam and minimum-functionality rules. RevenueCat does not pay you 'for every download'; it manages in-app subscriptions, so you only earn if users pay inside the app. And the hashtag #wronpartner marks this as a paid or affiliate promotion, which the reel never says out loud. Building a simple app is now easy; earning a living from one is not.

What holds up

  • Reel read frame by frame (4x4 contact sheet; music only, no speech) and caption read: 'Imagine' plus #sidehustle #wronpartner.
  • Fetched wron.ai: 'Build apps in minutes by chatting with AI. No coding needed', publish to App Store and Play Store, plans Starter $4.99, Builder $6.99, Studio $29.99 per month billed annually (shown as 80 percent off), unlimited credits only on Studio, RevenueCat and Supabase integration on Builder and up.
  • RevenueCat is an in-app purchase and subscription platform; it does not pay per download. Apple requires a paid developer membership and App Review for every app.

What doesn’t

  • #wronpartner = sponsored or affiliate post, not disclosed in plain words.
  • 'Get paid for every app download' misstates what RevenueCat does.
  • 'Unlimited apps' is only the top paid tier.
  • Template apps often fail App Store review for minimum functionality.

The catch

The tool can build the app. Nobody in the reel shows a single paying user, and that is the whole business.

How to actually do it

  • Validate demand first: search the App Store for your idea and read the 1 to 3 star reviews of the leaders.
  • If you build, budget for the builder plan plus Apple's $99/year developer fee.
  • Plan how you will get your first 100 users before you publish; that, not the build, decides whether it makes money.

Wron.ai does build and publish simple apps from prompts; income needs paid users, App Review and marketing the reel skips.
