PARTLY
Partly true: the 'Idea to PRD to Deploy' vibe-coding workflow is sound, ordinary advice, but 'production-ready app' oversells a beginner checklist, and the guide is gated behind a comment-VIBE DM hook
The claimCaption: 'Comment VIBE to get the step by step guide. Want to build real apps with AI coding tools but don't know where to start? Follow this step-by-step workflow: Idea, PRD; Architecture, Design; AI coding, Build; Test, Debug; GitHub, Deploy; Production-ready app.' On screen, a scrolled document titled 'Vibe Coding: A Complete Beginner-to-Production Guide'. Music only.
The workflow itself is fine. The document scrolled on screen walks from idea and research to a PRD, tech stack, architecture, task breakdown, testing, security review, code review, preview deploy and monitoring, and it gives decent beginner advice: answer five questions before opening a tool, define what is out of scope for version one, prefer official docs over blog posts. The tools it names are all real and current: Replit, Lovable and Bolt for browser builds, Cursor and Claude Code for repo work, with a starter stack of Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Supabase, Playwright, GitHub and Vercel. None of this is secret; it is standard software practice with an AI editor in the middle. Where it oversells is the last line. 'Production-ready app' is a promise a checklist cannot keep. AI app builders are known to ship apps with security switched off: a 2025 scan of Lovable-built apps found about one in ten with Supabase tables readable by anyone, logged as CVE-2025-48757. A beginner following a reel still needs to understand auth, database permissions and secrets before real users touch it. The other thing to know is the sale: the guide is gated behind 'Comment VIBE', a DM funnel that grows the page's reach and follower list for content that is already visible in the video.
What holds up
- Contact sheet read: the guide on screen lists IDEA, RESEARCH, DEFINE THE USER, PRD, CHOOSE TECH STACK, ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, PROJECT RULES, TASK BREAKDOWN, SETUP, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING, SECURITY REVIEW, CODE REVIEW, PREVIEW DEPLOYMENT, QA TESTING, PRODUCTION DEPLOY, MONITORING, ITERATION; the final frame says 'Comment Vibe to get it in DM'. Audio is music only.
- Tools named in the guide (Replit, Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Claude Code, Next.js, Supabase, Playwright, Vercel) are all real, actively offered products as of Oct 2026.
- CVE-2025-48757 (published May 30, 2025, disputed by Lovable) documents Supabase tables left open in roughly 10 percent of 1,645 scanned Lovable apps because row-level security was never enabled.
- x-ref #341: same comment-for-the-link pattern for free, searchable vibe-coding material.
What doesn’t
- 'Production-ready app' is promised by a checklist; security, auth and database permissions are the parts beginners most often get wrong.
- Comment-VIBE hook gates a guide whose content is already scrolled on screen.
The catch
Good habits, real tools, nothing proprietary. The reel's value is the order of operations; the 'production-ready' label is the part to ignore until someone has checked your auth and database rules.
How to actually do it
- Write a one-page PRD first: problem, user, MVP features, and an explicit out-of-scope list, then paste it into your AI coding tool as the project brief.
- Build in a GitHub repo with Cursor or Claude Code, commit after every working step, and add a few Playwright tests for the main user path.
- Before going live, turn on row-level security for every Supabase table, keep API keys in environment variables, and have someone who has shipped before review auth and permissions.
The step list is standard, sensible software practice using real tools, and you can read most of it straight off the video. 'Production-ready' is overstated, and the comment hook is a growth funnel, not a secret.
