PARTLY “Save this for your next build” — seven real repos, three frozen in 2025
The claim7 Claude Code repos to save for your next build: Anthropic's official plugin marketplace, deepwiki-open (any repo → interactive wiki), magic-mcp (“like v0 but inside Claude”), awesome-claude-agents (an orchestrated dev team of subagents), claude-code-workflows (battle-tested configs), claude-code-spec-workflow (spec-driven dev), sentry-mcp (Claude reads production errors and fixes the bug).
All seven exist and are honestly described: anthropics/claude-plugins-official is genuinely Anthropic's managed marketplace at 33,610 stars and active, deepwiki-open is real and active at 17,659, magic-mcp's “like v0 but in your editor” is literally the repo's own description, and sentry-mcp is the official Sentry org's repo. What the list doesn't say is when it was written. Three of the seven are frozen in a pre-plugins era: claude-code-workflows last pushed Sep 2025, claude-code-spec-workflow Sep 2025, awesome-claude-agents Oct 2025 — roughly a year untouched in an ecosystem where Anthropic has since shipped official Skills, plugins, and a vetted marketplace that absorb most of what those configs hacked together. Recommending them “for your next build” in late 2026 is recommending last year's workarounds. Also, sentry-mcp is 819 stars — real and official, just not a peer of the six others it's listed beside.
What holds up
- anthropics/claude-plugins-official = 33,610 stars, pushed Aug 17 — the official-marketplace claim is exactly right
- deepwiki-open (17,659, active), magic-mcp (5,684 — the v0 comparison is the repo's own description), sentry-mcp (official getsentry org, active) all check out
- No invented star counts anywhere on the slides
What doesn't
- Three of seven are ~1 year stale: claude-code-workflows (last push Sep 2025), claude-code-spec-workflow (Sep 2025), awesome-claude-agents (Oct 2025)
- Anthropic's official Skills, plugins, and marketplace have since absorbed most of what those three repos hacked together — “for your next build” is dated advice
- sentry-mcp at 819 stars is presented as a peer of 17k–33k-star projects — real, just small
The catch
A repo list has a freshness date the slides never show — in an ecosystem that reinvented itself twice since September 2025, “battle-tested” can quietly mean “tested in battles that are over.”
How to actually do it
- Start and mostly end with item 1: the official marketplace carries vetted, current plugins — including spec-driven and review workflows that superseded the three stale repos
- Add deepwiki-open if you actually onboard onto unfamiliar codebases, and sentry-mcp if you actually run Sentry
- Before installing anything from a carousel, check the repo's pushed_at date — one API call separates a tool from a museum piece
All real, none inflated — but three of the seven recommendations expired before the post was made.
