PARTLY Partly true: pasting one MotionSites prompt into an AI builder can produce a polished page fast, but the look comes from the library's prepared prompt and hosted art, the caption credits Cursor while the video shows Grok, and 'comment PROMPT' feeds a paid-library funnel Facebook · Sep 2026

The claim'How to make a site like this in 8 minutes flat': go to MotionSites.ai, copy one prompt ('400+ prompts, all built for premium animated sites'), paste it into your AI builder, and the site is ready. Caption: 'Cursor took it and handled the layout, the scroll timeline, the Tailwind theme on its own.' 'Comment "PROMPT" and the exact prompt behind this site is yours.'

The workflow is real. MotionSites.ai sells long, detailed prompts meant to be pasted into an AI app builder, and a good builder will turn one into a working animated landing page in minutes. The reel oversells how much the AI is doing. The finished 'Heritage Grove' page gets its whole look from ink-wash pine trees, mountains and cranes. A text prompt does not paint those. MotionSites prompts point to images and video backgrounds the library already hosts, and the card in the reel offers 'Copy full prompt' and 'HTML Code' side by side. So you are mostly reassembling a design somebody already made, not creating one in eight minutes. The card is also labeled 'Heritage Grove: Footer', which suggests one section of a design rather than a whole site. The caption says Cursor built it, but the video shows the prompt pasted into Grok (grok.com, which has had Grok Build for making sites in chat on every plan since Aug 19, 2026). The comment hook is a funnel. MotionSites has some free 'Copy' prompts, but most of the library is paid: $129 every 3 months (3 prompt copies a day), $279 a year, $399 lifetime, or $49 prompt packs, per its pricing page on Sep 24, 2026. Eight minutes gets you a pretty static demo. It does not get you real copy, your own images, working forms, SEO, a domain or hosting.

What holds up

  • Reel read frame by frame: the title card says 'how to make a site like this in 8 minutes flat' with the MotionSites logo plus the Grok logo. It then shows MotionSites.ai, a card reading 'Heritage Grove: Footer' with 34 likes and buttons for 'Copy full prompt' and 'HTML Code / Copy', and a 'Paste it to your AI Builder' step on a screen labeled 'Grok' with 'Connect your X account'. The pasted prompt lists 'Vite + React 18 + TypeScript, Tailwind CSS 3, framer-motion, lucide-react'. The last card says 'This prompt + 400 more. Comment "PROMPT"'.
  • The caption credits Cursor ('Cursor took it and handled the layout, the scroll timeline, the Tailwind theme on its own') and uses #claudecode, but no frame shows Cursor. The build in the video runs in Grok. x.ai's Aug 19, 2026 post says Grok Build, which makes apps and sites in chat and publishes them to a grok.me link, is now on every plan.
  • MotionSites.ai pricing page, checked Sep 24, 2026: 3 Months at $129 (fair use of 3 prompt copies a day), Yearly at $279, Lifetime at $399 (marked down from $759 in a 'Founding Members Sale'), and Prompt Packs at $49 each. A July 2026 third-party review (Stork.AI) lists different, older tiers, so prices have changed during the year. The same review counts 364 prompts, 159 looping video backgrounds and 40 Lovable templates, and says prompts marked 'Copy' are free.
  • Reviews and the site's own lesson pages describe the prompts as containing hosted asset URLs (images and video backgrounds) for hero and scroll sections. The ink-painting art on Heritage Grove comes from those prepared assets, not from anything the AI generated. We could not read this exact prompt without commenting or paying, so confidence is Medium.
  • x-ref #261: a reel from another creator that funneled into the same MotionSites.ai prompt library through an 'award-winning site in 10 minutes' claim.

What doesn’t

  • Mismatched credit: the caption says Cursor (and tags #claudecode), but the video pastes into Grok.
  • The 'site like this' look comes from prepared, hosted artwork and a design sold as HTML. The eight minutes cover reassembly, not design. The card is also labeled as a footer section, not a whole site.
  • First-party ad with a comment-for-the-prompt hook that leads into a paid library ($49 packs up to $399 lifetime), while the product has a public pricing page.

The catch

You can get a good-looking page in minutes, but you are paying for somebody else's finished design and hosted art, one prompt at a time. Everything that makes a site useful to a business still comes after the eight minutes: your own words and photos, a working contact form, analytics, SEO, a domain and hosting.

How to actually do it

  • Try the free 'Copy' prompts on MotionSites.ai first, and buy directly from the pricing page instead of through the comment funnel. The $49 pack is the cheapest way to test one paid design.
  • Paste the prompt into whatever builder you actually use (Grok Build, Cursor, Claude, Lovable or Bolt). Then replace every hosted image and video URL with your own assets, or license theirs for your use, so the site does not depend on a third party's CDN.
  • Before calling it done, add real copy, a working form that goes to your own inbox, meta tags and a sitemap, run a Lighthouse or mobile check, then deploy to your own host and domain. Budget hours for this, not minutes.

The copy-and-paste workflow works, and a MotionSites prompt can give you an attractive animated page quickly. The reel credits Cursor while showing Grok, leans on prepared hosted artwork for the look, and uses 'comment PROMPT' to funnel viewers into a paid library that costs $49 to $399.
