Straight BS: nobody built a $100M startup team inside Claude; it's role prompts in a comment-for-guide funnel
The claim'I built a $100M AI startup team inside Claude.' Illustration of Claude-style robot agents at a boardroom table labeled CEO, Product, Engineering, Strategy, Marketing, Sales and Finance, seated beside AI-drawn likenesses of well-known tech CEOs. 'Comment 100M for the full guide.'
There is no $100M anything here. The post is a single AI-generated illustration and a caption, with no company, no revenue, no product and no screenshot of a working setup. The '$100M' is a number pasted onto a picture to make a role-prompt template sound like an outcome. What is real underneath: Claude can play roles, and Claude Code has an official subagents feature where each agent is a Markdown file with its own system prompt and tool access, plus a separate agent teams feature that coordinates several sessions. So you can absolutely set up a 'CEO', a 'marketer' and an 'engineer' agent. That gives you organized prompts, not employees, a valuation, or customers. The rest is funnel mechanics. 'Comment 100M for the full guide' is a comment gate that boosts reach and collects people to DM. The caption spells Claude and guide with symbols ('Cl@ude', 'gu!de'), a common trick to dodge automated filters on keyword-bait. The image puts AI-drawn likenesses of famous tech CEOs at the table, implying a connection that does not exist. The post drew about 680 comments, which is the point of the format, not proof of the claim. If you want an AI 'team', build two or three subagents for jobs you actually do every week and measure the hours saved. Skip the guide.
What holds up
- Post read in the logged-in browser: one AI-generated image (robot agents with desk labels CEO, Product, Engineering, Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Finance, AI Product) and the caption 'I built a $100M AI Startup team with Cl@ude / Comment 100M for the full gu!de'.
- No company name, revenue figure, product, link or working screenshot appears anywhere in the post; the '$100M' is unsupported.
- Claude Code docs (code.claude.com/docs/en/sub-agents) confirm subagents are Markdown files with a name, description, optional tools and model, and a system prompt; agent teams is a separate official feature for coordinating sessions.
- Engagement at time of read: about 283 reactions and 680 comments, consistent with a comment-for-link gate.
What doesn’t
- Comment-gated 'full guide' (lead capture by DM).
- Deliberate misspellings ('Cl@ude', 'gu!de') to slip past keyword filters.
- AI-drawn likenesses of famous CEOs implying endorsement or involvement.
- Dollar figure with no company, revenue or product behind it.
The catch
A role-prompt template dressed up as a $100M company. The agents are real Claude features; the money, the team and the results are not shown anywhere.
How to actually do it
- Pick one weekly job (proposals, follow-up emails, research) and write one Claude Code subagent for it: a .md file in .claude/agents/ with a name, a one-line description and a short system prompt.
- Run it for two weeks and write down the minutes it saves per use; add a second agent only if the first one earns its keep.
- Ignore any 'comment X for the guide' post; the official subagent docs at code.claude.com are free and current.
Claude can run role-based agents, and the official subagents docs show exactly how. A $100M startup does not come with them; the number exists only on the image.
