PARTLY
Partly true: Higgsfield Katana does run inside Claude for animation work, but this is a partner ad, it needs a paid subscription, and we can't confirm the 'one prompt' video
The claimVideo editing is on a whole new level: tell Claude what you want, and Higgsfield Katana makes a cinematic animation with no After Effects. This video went from first idea to final frame with one prompt.
Katana is a real Higgsfield product. The company's own blog describes it as a skill that runs inside Claude through its connector and rebuilds a reference edit with your own characters, products or footage. So writing a prompt instead of setting keyframes is a fair description of the idea. Three things need saying. The post carries a Higgsfield partner tag, so it's advertising. It isn't simply a Claude feature either: Higgsfield says you need an active subscription, and each run costs credits, shown before you confirm. And nothing in the video lets anyone check that one prompt produced it. Most of what we found about Higgsfield comes from the company or promotional review sites, and those sources disagree on plan prices, so check its pricing page yourself.
What holds up
- Higgsfield's Katana blog post describes a skill running inside Claude through its connector
- Higgsfield says it requires an active subscription, with a credit cost shown before each run
- We found conflicting plan prices across review sites, and no confirmed credit cost per edit
- The caption carries a #higgsfieldpartner tag
- We read the full transcript; we did not run Katana ourselves
What doesn’t
- This is a partner post, so read it as an ad
- 'One prompt' can't be verified from the video
- 'No After Effects' doesn't mean no cost: you pay in subscription and credits
- Much of the available coverage is promotional
The catch
It may well speed up short motion pieces. But you're trading After Effects time for a subscription and credits, and a polished demo from a partner tells you little about your own results.
How to actually do it
- Check current plans and credits on Higgsfield's own pricing page
- Test one real project on the smallest plan
- Watch the credit card Claude shows before you confirm each run
- Compare the result and total cost with how you make that piece today
Worth a small test if you make short animated pieces. Judge it on your own brief, not the demo.
