PARTLY
Partly true: Higgsfield really has a ChatGPT plugin, but the reel is a paid Higgsfield partner post, and the '$10,000 a month from clipping' math skips permission, payout rates and competition
The claimSkit: 'Why would I spend tens of thousands on a degree... when I can literally just go on the internet, post a few videos, and make a couple hundred thousand dollars a month.' Then: 'Now that the method's been leaked, I might as well just teach you how to make $10,000 a month by just clipping': copy a streamer's YouTube link, use ChatGPT's new mode, add the Higgsfield plugin, paste a prompt, 'and after a few minutes you should have hundreds of clips,' post them and 'let the views roll in.' 'Comment clip and I'll send you the whole link.'
Part of this is real. Higgsfield is a real AI video company, it publishes a ChatGPT plugin that links to a Higgsfield account and generates video inside ChatGPT, and it separately sells a clipping feature that turns a YouTube link into short vertical clips with captions. So 'ChatGPT plus Higgsfield can cut clips' is plausible, though we could not confirm that link-to-clips runs inside the ChatGPT plugin itself rather than Higgsfield's own app or its connector for other tools. The rest is the sales layer. The hashtags include #higgsfieldpartner, so this is a paid or affiliate promotion of the product it praises. 'Hundreds of clips in a few minutes' is a claim about volume, not quality or views. And the money is where it falls apart: clipping pays only through campaigns where a streamer or brand has authorized it, payouts are typically quoted per thousand views, and those campaigns are crowded with other clippers using the same tools. Clipping someone's stream without being in their program can also earn copyright strikes. The skit's 'couple hundred thousand a month' and 'the method's been leaked' are pure hook. Comment 'clip' for the link is the lead capture.
What holds up
- Reel downloaded and transcribed in full; hashtags include #higgsfieldpartner and #aitools; the call to action is 'comment clip and I'll send you the whole link.'
- Higgsfield's own blog documents a ChatGPT plugin, installed from ChatGPT's plugin directory and linked to a Higgsfield account, for generating images and video inside ChatGPT.
- Higgsfield's separate clipper (YouTube link to captioned vertical clips) is reported in 2026 coverage via its own product and connectors; we found no source confirming it inside the ChatGPT plugin specifically.
- No earnings proof, view counts or campaign names are shown for the '$10,000 a month' claim.
What doesn’t
- #higgsfieldpartner means the poster is paid or rewarded to promote the tool.
- 'Couple hundred thousand a month' and 'the method's been leaked' are hooks with no evidence.
- Clipping without being in the creator's program risks copyright strikes and no payout.
The catch
The tool can cut clips; the income depends on joining authorized clipping campaigns, beating every other clipper with the same tool, and being paid per thousand views, which the reel never mentions.
How to actually do it
- Only clip creators who run an official clipping program, and read its payout per thousand views and rules first.
- Do the real math: at a typical rate, how many views do you need for your goal, and how many clips would that take?
- Try any clipping tool on one creator's video and post a week of clips before paying for a plan.
- Skip anyone selling 'the leaked method' behind a comment; the steps in this reel are the whole method.
Clipping can be a real side income when you work inside authorized campaigns and treat it as a volume business. Going in with the payout math stops a $10,000 promise from turning into unpaid hours or copyright strikes.
