REAL
Holds up: Funnel's MCP server is a real, documented, read-only connector that lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP tools query your Funnel marketing data, but it only works for paying Funnel customers, whose plans start at $300 a month billed annually
The claimSponsored ad: 'Funnel's MCP server lets you connect your entire marketing data foundation to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other tool that supports MCP. Ask questions, build workflows and get answers without switching context.' Image: 'The Marketing MCP your AI can trust,' 'Trusted by over 3,000 leading brands.' Link card: funnel.io MCP server, 'Book your free demo today.'
This is a straight product ad and the product exists. Funnel's product page and its help center both document a Funnel MCP server: you copy a server URL and OAuth details from inside Funnel, add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or any other MCP client, and then ask questions of your marketing data in plain language. The help center says the tools are read-only, access follows your existing Funnel permissions, and Funnel says nothing is stored in the AI tool between sessions. So 'ask questions without switching context' holds up. The small print is that it is a doorway into Funnel, not a standalone tool. You need a Funnel account first, and Funnel's pricing page lists Starter at $300 a month and Business at $600 a month, both billed annually, with Enterprise on quote; MCP is listed on all three. 'Build workflows' is generous for read-only tools: it can answer and summarize, not change your ad accounts. And 'trusted by over 3,000 leading brands' is the ad's own number; the homepage we read shows logos and other stats but no brand count, so we could not confirm it. For a team already paying for Funnel, this is a useful feature included with the plan. For anyone else, the ad is a demo booking for a platform that costs thousands a year.
What holds up
- Ad text and image read in the logged-in browser (Oct 30, 2026); link card points to Funnel's MCP server page and a demo booking.
- Funnel MCP product page read: works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor; requires an existing Funnel account; access governed by Funnel permissions.
- Funnel help center 'Connect Funnel MCP from Funnel AI' read: 'read-only tools'; client cards for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex, plus other MCP clients.
- Funnel pricing page read: Starter $300 a month and Business $600 a month billed annually, Enterprise custom; MCP included on all.
- Funnel homepage read: no '3,000 brands' figure found, only logos and other usage stats.
What doesn’t
- Requires a paid Funnel plan; the ad never says so.
- Read-only tools, so 'build workflows' means analysis, not changes to your accounts.
- 'Trusted by over 3,000 leading brands' could not be confirmed on Funnel's own site.
The catch
It does what it says, for Funnel customers. The MCP server is the hook; the subscription is the product.
How to actually do it
- If you already pay for Funnel, follow the help center article to add the MCP server URL to Claude or ChatGPT and try a few read-only questions.
- If you do not, check whether your ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, GA4) already offer their own MCP or API connectors before buying a data platform.
- Book a demo only once you know your budget: plans start around $3,600 a year billed annually.
A legitimate vendor ad for a real, documented feature. The only thing left unsaid is the price of the account it plugs into.
