PARTLY

Partly true: the five Claude design 'skills' are real, free resources that genuinely help AI-built sites look less generic, but the founder-credentials flex and comment-for-link funnel are the sell

Facebook · Oct 2026

The claim'I can see your website was built with AI, and so can everyone else.' Here are five Claude skills to fix the tells (beige background, the AI font, the italicized word). First: awesome design, a curated list of design systems from the world's best brands, steal their design systems. 'I'm a Stanford founder, we've raised $4 million.'

The core resource is real. 'Awesome design' refers to markdown design-system libraries like awesome-design-md (VoltAgent's version shows well over 100,000 GitHub stars), collections of brand-style guides, colors, type, spacing, feel, that Claude Code can read as context so your output stops looking like a default AI template. That genuinely helps with the exact tells the reel names, and the broader point, that AI-built sites share recognizable defaults you can design away, is true. Two honest caveats. These design-system files describe famous brands' looks; 'steal their design systems' is fine as inspiration but you should not literally clone a brand's identity for your own site. And the 'Stanford founder, raised $4 million' line is a credibility flex that has nothing to do with whether the skills work; it is there to make you trust the list and comment. The resources are public and free, so the comment-for-link step is a funnel, not a gate. Real, useful design resources; founder-flex and funnel on top.

What holds up

  • Reel transcribed in full and caption read.
  • Confirmed markdown design-system libraries (e.g. awesome-design-md, 100,000+ stars) that Claude Code can use as context are real and free.
  • Noted the resources are public repos, so no comment link is needed to get them.

What doesn’t

  • 'Stanford founder, raised $4M' is a credibility flex unrelated to the tools.
  • 'Steal their design systems' is fine as inspiration, not for cloning a brand's identity.
  • Public free repos behind a comment funnel.

The catch

The design resources are real and free. The founder flex and the comment link are the marketing.

How to actually do it

  • Find the design-system markdown repos on GitHub directly and add the ones you like as context.
  • Use brand styles as inspiration, not as identities to copy outright.
  • Fix the common tells (default fonts, generic spacing) rather than chasing all five at once.

Real, free design resources wrapped in a founder flex and a comment funnel.
