REAL
Holds up: Dear Passengers is a real co-op airline-chaos game from Ukrainian studio FLEXUS, its wishlist run was even bigger than the caption says, and the only soft spot is the 'Fall 2026' date
The claim'This viral friendslop game lets you role-play as a Spirit Airlines crew' flying, keeping passengers happy and hauling dangerous cargo. Caption: 'Dear Passengers is a co-op action adventure game developed and published by Ukrainian studio FLEXUS, coming to PC via Steam in Fall 2026'; one player pilots while others run the cabin; proximity voice chat; 'The Steam wishlist hit over 500,000 entries within days of the trailer's release, from a studio that had only made mobile idle games before this.' 'Wishlist it now on Steam.' 'Follow this show for daily videos.'
This one checks out. The Steam page (store.steampowered.com/app/4534960) lists Dear Passengers by FLEXUS as developer and publisher, planned for 2026 on Windows, with the exact split-crew loop the reel narrates: one player pilots, the rest serve passengers and deal with cargo and turbulence, and 'not every passenger stays onboard.' The footage in the reel is the game's own trailer, including the passenger-out-the-window gag. The wishlist claim is, if anything, an undersell: coverage after the July 14, 2026 reveal reported 500,000 wishlists within hours, a million within two days, and around two million by early August, putting it in Steam's top five most-wishlisted. FLEXUS is a Kyiv studio of about 70 people previously known for mobile idle games, which NerdZap and other outlets noted at launch, so the 'first PC game' angle is accurate. Two nits. The Steam page says '2026', not 'Fall 2026'; outlets describe the date as deliberately open, so the season is the poster's guess. And 'Spirit Airlines crew' is a joke, not anything in the game. There is no AI angle here and nothing being sold beyond a follow; it is a clips channel doing what clips channels do. Wishlisting is free and the demo is not yet public.
What holds up
- Reel read frame by frame: trailer footage (passenger thrown out the window, pilot in cockpit, cargo cage, hamburger tray, red-lit cabin), captions 'FRIENDSLOP GAME', 'SPIRIT AIRLINES CREW', 'IT'S CALLED DEAR', 'ON STEAM', 'DAILY VIDEOS'.
- Steam page fetched Oct 2, 2026: Dear Passengers, developer and publisher FLEXUS, release '2026', tags Action/Adventure/Indie, split-crew co-op description; no demo listed; proximity voice chat not listed on the page.
- Search coverage (TechTimes Jul 15, 2026; NerdZap Jul 14, 2026; GetJar): Kyiv-based FLEXUS, ~70 staff, 'previously known only for mobile idle games'; 500k wishlists within hours of the Jul 14 reveal, 1M in two days, ~2M by early August, Steam top-five most wishlisted; release window left open.
- flexus.games lists Dear Passengers as the studio's title; no paid ads or sponsored creators were claimed by the founder for the wishlist surge.
What doesn’t
- 'Fall 2026' is not on the Steam page, which only says 2026.
- Proximity voice chat is in press coverage but not on the Steam feature list we could read.
- Pure engagement post; the ask is a follow.
The catch
A genuinely hyped co-op game with the numbers to back it; the only thing to hold loosely is the season. If you want it, wishlist it on Steam and wait for the demo, and do not buy any 'DLC' or clone trading on the name, which has already started appearing.
How to actually do it
- Wishlist on Steam at store.steampowered.com/app/4534960 and turn on the release notification; that is the whole honest route.
- Watch for an official demo announcement from FLEXUS (flexus.games) rather than third-party 'early access' listings.
- Plan on a four-player group; the design assumes one pilot and a cabin crew.
Studio, platform, gameplay loop, mobile-idle background and the wishlist surge all verify against the Steam page and July 2026 coverage. The 'Fall 2026' window is the poster's addition to an open 2026 date, which is a small enough slip to keep this at real.

- a daily indie-game clips page (~549k views on this reel) that asks for follows, not sales; reel sent to Buddy Fri Sep 25, 2026, ~8:45 PM
