PARTLY
Partly true: feeding a Search Console export to Claude to find pages that rank for too many keywords is a real cannibalization audit; '4x your traffic in five minutes' is the agency's hook, not a result
The claim'Use Claude to quadruple your website traffic in five minutes.' Go to Google Search Console, Performance, Export; copy your sitemap URL; paste both into Claude and ask it to 'find pages that rank for multiple keywords you should split into separate pages.' Claude 'will show you every page that's trying to do too much.' Split them and 'you'll rank higher for both keywords instead of competing with yourself.' Hook: 'Comment SEO if you want us to help with your site.'
The workflow is real and the screen recording shows it honestly. The Search Console Performance report exports to Google Sheets, Excel or CSV; the reel uploads that export as a zip to Claude along with a sitemap URL and asks for pages ranking on unrelated query clusters. The output on screen is a readable cannibalization audit: it groups queries by page, flags a page carrying both 'AI Overview checking tool' and 'ChatGPT visibility checker' intent, and recommends splitting. That is a legitimate SEO task that agencies have done by hand for years, and a model with a query-to-page table does it in minutes. What is oversold is the outcome. 'Quadruple your traffic' is a number nobody can promise from a keyword split; the honest expectation is a modest lift on a handful of pages, months later, after the new pages are written, interlinked and re-crawled. 'Five minutes' covers the prompt, not the work: splitting a page means writing new content, redirecting or re-pointing links, and waiting on Google. Two practical gaps the reel skips: the default export is capped at 1,000 rows per table, so a mid-size site needs the API or a Looker connector to get the full query-to-page map, and the model only sees what you upload, so the sitemap URL alone is no help unless Claude fetches it. The 'comment SEO' line is the real product: this is an agency lead-gen reel.
What holds up
- Reel read frame by frame: Search Console export menu (Google Sheets / Download Excel / Download CSV), a Yoast sitemap index at the agency's own domain, a zip upload into Claude with 'Opus 5' showing in the model picker, and a results pane that groups queries by page and recommends splits.
- Google's Search Console help (support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7576553) read: Performance reports carry an Export button for chart and table data. The row cap on the UI table export (1,000 rows per table) is not stated on that page and comes from standard SEO practice; sites past that cap need the Search Analytics API or the Looker Studio connector for a full query-to-page map.
- Keyword cannibalization audits (one URL ranking for several unrelated intents) are a standard SEO practice; splitting into focused pages is a normal remedy, but the lift is per page and takes a recrawl cycle, not five minutes.
- The reel is first-party agency marketing: the site on screen is the poster's own, and the CTA routes to a DM for an SEO engagement.
What doesn’t
- '4x your website traffic' is a headline number with no case, no before-and-after and no timeframe.
- 'Five minutes' describes the prompt; rewriting, redirecting and re-indexing split pages is days to weeks of work.
- The 1,000-row export cap is never mentioned; on most real sites the quick export misses most queries.
- Comment-for-DM hook for an agency engagement; the free tip is the lead magnet.
The catch
Run the audit, it is cheap and the model is good at it, but treat the output as a to-do list for a content rewrite, not a traffic multiplier. Check the export row cap before you trust the picture, and judge success by the split pages' impressions 60 to 90 days after they go live.
How to actually do it
- In Search Console, open Performance, set a 3 to 6 month range, add the Page and Query dimensions, and export to CSV; if your table hits 1,000 rows, pull the full set with the Search Analytics API or the Looker Studio connector instead.
- Upload the CSV to Claude with the prompt from the reel and ask it to return, per page, the distinct intent clusters it ranks for, the impressions per cluster, and a recommended target page for each.
- Pick the three pages where the second cluster has real impressions, write a focused page for each, link them from the original, and re-check Search Console in 60 to 90 days.
The Search Console export plus Claude cannibalization audit is a genuine, low-cost SEO task and the screen recording is honest about the steps. The '4x in five minutes' promise and the omitted export cap turn a decent tip into an agency lead-gen hook.
