PARTLY
Partly true: Claude has no mode called 'Infinite Private Tutor'; the carousel is six decent tutoring prompts dressed up as a hidden feature, with a comment-for-prompts hook
The claim'CLAUDE HAS A MODE CALLED INFINITE PRIVATE TUTOR. IT CAN TEACH YOU ANY SKILL FROM ZERO IN JUST 4 HOURS.' Six prompts follow (Learning Curve Destroyer, Real Mistake Simulator, Impossible Language Translator, Personal Path Architect, Hidden Gap Detector, Forced Feynman Method). 'COMMENT CLAUDE & WE'LL SEND YOU THE PROMPTS.'
There is no Claude mode called Infinite Private Tutor. Anthropic's product pages and help center list no such thing. What Claude does have is a real learning mode: Anthropic introduced it for Claude for Education on April 2, 2025, and opened it to all Claude users on August 14, 2025, where it asks guiding questions instead of handing over answers. Claude Code also has a built-in Learning output style that leaves pieces of code for you to write. The carousel does not use either. Its 'mode' is six pasted prompts, and the same 'infinite private tutor' headline is circulating on dozens of other accounts with the hours changed to 2, 3 or 4, which is the signature of a recycled prompt-pack meme, not a product feature. The prompts themselves are fine. They push Claude to teach in small steps, wait for your answers, make you explain concepts back, and flag jargon you cannot define. That is standard active-learning practice and it works with any capable chatbot, not only Claude. 'Any skill from zero in 4 hours' is the invented part; a four-hour session can orient you in a subject, not make you competent in it. What is being sold: the comment hook harvests engagement and DMs for a prompt-pack account. All six prompts are already printed on slides 2 through 7, so there is nothing to send.
What holds up
- Carousel read slide by slide: slide 1 is the 'Infinite Private Tutor' headline over a stock-style stage photo; slides 2 through 7 print all six prompts in full; slide 8 is a photo of Anthropic's CEO with the 'comment CLAUDE' hook.
- claude.com/solutions/education (read Oct 2, 2026) describes 'Claude's learning mode' as a tutor that 'asks questions that help you find the answers yourself'; anthropic.com's Claude for Education post (Apr 2, 2025) introduced Learning mode; Engadget reported the Aug 14, 2025 rollout to all users. No Anthropic page names an 'Infinite Private Tutor' mode.
- support.claude.com search for 'learning mode' and the Personalization and settings collection (read Oct 2, 2026) return no feature by that name; code.claude.com/docs/en/output-styles confirms a built-in 'Learning' output style for Claude Code.
- Google search for the exact phrase returns only social posts (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) repeating the same headline with 2, 3 and 4 hour variants; none cite an Anthropic source.
What doesn’t
- 'Mode called Infinite Private Tutor' is invented; the only real feature is Claude's learning mode, which the prompts never mention.
- 'Any skill from zero in 4 hours' is a number pulled from a meme that other accounts post as 2 or 3 hours.
- Comment-for-prompts hook for prompts already printed in full on the carousel; the DM is the product.
- The prompts are model-agnostic; nothing here is unique to Claude.
The catch
Copy the prompts off the slides and skip the comment; they are workable study prompts for Claude or any other chatbot. Expect a solid first session, not a skill in four hours, and turn on Claude's actual learning mode if you want the guided-questions behavior without pasting instructions every time.
How to actually do it
- Open claude.ai, start a new chat and ask Claude to use its learning mode (or write 'teach me by asking questions, do not give me the answer first') so the tutoring behavior persists across the conversation.
- Paste the Learning Curve Destroyer prompt with your real skill and a real deadline, then do the first exercise it gives you before asking for the next step.
- Finish each session with the Forced Feynman prompt: explain the topic back in plain words and let Claude flag the gaps; that is the part that actually sticks.
- Judge progress by output (a working script, a conversation held, a problem solved), not by hours logged.
Claude's learning mode is real and so are the six prompts, which are ordinary active-learning instructions that work on any chatbot. The 'Infinite Private Tutor' mode does not exist and the four-hour promise is meme math; the carousel is a comment-bait funnel for prompts it already shows.
