Straight BS: 'paste a YouTube link into Claude with the Everygen connector and make $14,000 a month clipping' uses a real paid MCP tool to sell an income fantasy, and the phone on screen shows $422 MRR, not $5,000

Facebook · Oct 2026

The claim'POV, you started clipping streamers. Now you're making $14,000 every single month.' Copy a YouTuber's latest video link, go to everygen.ai's MCP page, copy the connector link, add it in Claude under connectors, 'type in this exact prompt and add the YouTube link,' wait two to three minutes, and 'you'll have a ton of clips and it'll even add the captions for you.' Post them 'across six different TikTok accounts.' 'Just one of my TikTok accounts brought in $5,000 last month.' Hook: 'Comment the word Claude and I'll send you a free breakdown.'

The tool is real, the money is not. Everygen is a paid AI video platform that publishes an MCP connector (everygen.ai/api/mcp) you can add to Claude as a custom connector; its plans run from a $90 a month Starter tier at annual rates up to a Creator tier, all credit-metered, with no free tier on the pricing page. So 'paste the link into Claude, get captioned clips' is a workflow you can buy. Everything else in the reel is a montage of other people's claims and the poster's own numbers that the screen contradicts. The streamer clips at the top ('I make more money off my clips page than on Twitch') are someone else's footage. The '$14,000 every month' line has no dashboard behind it. The TikTok analytics screen shows 47.7 million post views over 365 days, which is reach, not revenue, and TikTok's rewards program pays only on qualifying accounts and content. The phone screen the '$5,000' caption sits on is a ClipLaunch dashboard reading gross revenue $5.97 today and MRR $422.00, with the ARR figure hidden under the overlay. The caption hashtag #viewmaxpartner tells you the business model: a clipping-platform affiliate. Running six TikTok accounts of reposted YouTube clips is also a copyright and platform-policy problem the reel never mentions; most streamers run their own clip programs with rules, and unaffiliated reposts get struck or demonetized.

What holds up

  • Reel read frame by frame: opens with reused streamer clips, then a bedroom POV, then a Claude 'Add custom connector' dialog with an Everygen URL, then a captions picker; the TikTok analytics screen shows 47.7M post views and 960.2K profile views (365 days), and the final phone screen is a ClipLaunch dashboard with 'Gross revenue $5.97' and 'MRR $422.00' under the '$5,000' overlay.
  • everygen.ai/mcp read: connector URL https://everygen.ai/api/mcp, setup for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, tools for video composition, images, voiceover and caption editing; everygen.ai/pricing read: Starter $90 a month billed annually, Pro and Creator tiers above it, credit-metered, no free tier listed.
  • No income evidence for '$14,000 a month' or '$5,000 from one account' appears on screen; the only revenue figures visible are $5.97 and $422 MRR on a different product's dashboard.
  • Caption tag #viewmaxpartner marks an affiliate relationship with a clipping platform; the 'comment Claude' hook routes to a DM 'free breakdown.'

What doesn’t

  • Income claim with zero supporting evidence; the one revenue screen on camera shows $422 MRR.
  • Everygen is a paid, credit-metered platform; the reel never mentions cost or that Claude itself does not cut video.
  • Reposting a YouTuber's video across six TikTok accounts invites copyright strikes and violates most streamers' clipping terms.
  • Undisclosed-on-camera affiliate play (#viewmaxpartner in the caption) plus a comment-for-DM funnel.

The catch

Clipping is a real job with real rules: you join a creator's official clip program, follow their terms, and get paid per qualifying view through their platform. An MCP connector can speed up the cutting, but it costs money per clip and does nothing about rights, and nobody goes from zero to $14,000 a month by pasting links.

How to actually do it

  • Join an official clipping program (many streamers run them through platforms like Whop or their own forms) and read the payout terms, the view thresholds and the content rules before you cut anything.
  • Test the Everygen connector on one video at the lowest tier and track cost per finished clip against what the program actually pays per thousand views.
  • Run one account well, not six badly: post within the program's rules, keep the captions accurate, and scale only when a month of payouts clears the subscription.

The Everygen MCP connector for Claude is real and paid; the '$14,000 a month' and '$5,000 from one account' claims are unsupported, and the only revenue on screen is $422 MRR. This is an affiliate funnel for a clipping platform wrapped in a Claude tutorial.
