Three claims stacked, none of them true as stated. First, ChatGPT does not create a YouTube channel: it can write scripts, titles, descriptions and outlines, and the free tier does that with usage caps, but it does not generate the videos, voice them, make thumbnails at scale, or upload and publish anything. OpenAI's own video model, Sora, was discontinued in spring 2026 according to Wikipedia's Sora and OpenAI articles as fetched Sep 5 2026 (announcement March 24, app shutdown April 26, API to follow Sep 24), and even while it existed it was for paying Plus and Pro users only. Video today means paid tools: Google's Veo, for example, sits behind the $19.99 and $99.99 Gemini plans. Second, 'free' ignores that YouTube pays nothing until a channel clears the Partner Program bar of 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 public watch hours in a year, or 10 million Shorts views in 90 days. Third, '$10,000 a month' at typical RPMs of $1 to $30 per thousand views, with creators keeping 55 percent of long-form ad revenue and 45 percent on Shorts, needs on the order of one to two million monthly views; that is an outlier outcome, not what a prompt pack produces. And YouTube's July 15, 2025 inauthentic-content rule demonetizes AI-generated content made with generic or unoriginal templates that gives the impression of mass production, with undisclosed realistic AI content risking removal or Partner Program suspension. What doesn’t

The catch

Use ChatGPT for what it is good at here, scripts and titles, then put a real person on camera; YouTube's current rules reward exactly the thing a prompt pack cannot fake.

How to actually do it

  • Use the free tier to draft ten video scripts and titles for questions your customers ask; that part of the post is fine.
  • Film them yourself on a phone, with your face and your town in them; treat the channel as a lead source for the business, not an ad-revenue business.
  • If you want AI video, budget for it (Veo on a paid Gemini plan, or a paid editor) and disclose synthetic footage per YouTube's rules.
  • Measure calls and bookings from the videos, not subscriber counts; one booked job beats a hundred thousand anonymous views.

The prompts are free; the channel, the video, the audience and the $10,000 are not, and ChatGPT does not produce any of them.
