BS
Straight BS: a company being sued does not make your account removable, and no ChatGPT prompt builds an 800 score; this is a comment-800 funnel for a credit-repair class
The claimOn-screen: 'These companies are all under a lawsuit! Now is the time to get them removed off your credit report', listing Midland Credit, Portfolio Recovery, LVNV Funding, Jefferson Capital, Discover Bank, Capital One, Credit Acceptance, GM Financial, T-Mobile, Ally Financial and Caine & Weiner, then 'Comment 800'. Caption: 'How to use ChatGPT to build an 800 credit score': upload your reports from all three bureaus, ask ChatGPT as a 'consumer law credit expert' for the strongest dispute angle and steps to remove every negative account, dispute one bureau at a time, freeze LexisNexis and SageStream, and plan 1% utilization. 'This isn't guessing. This is AI + consumer law working together.' Comment 800 for a free AI credit-repair masterclass.
The headline claim does not work the way the reel implies. Lawsuits against a debt buyer or lender, whether a consumer's FCRA suit or a regulator's case, do not create a right to have your own account deleted. Accurate negative information can stay on a report for seven years under federal law, and the FTC has sued credit-repair firms for promising otherwise. Some names on the list do have real legal history: Credit Acceptance settled with New York and about 40 states for roughly $700 million in September 2026, and debt buyers like Midland and LVNV are sued by individuals all the time. None of that makes your account inaccurate. What can work is narrower: if an item is wrong, incomplete or unverifiable, a dispute can get it fixed or deleted, and the bureau generally has 30 days to investigate. ChatGPT can help you read a report and draft a clear dispute letter for free. Freezing LexisNexis and SageStream is real, free and listed on the CFPB's consumer reporting company page, but it is a fraud-prevention step, not a score booster. Keeping utilization low genuinely helps. Uploading full credit reports to a chatbot is also a privacy decision worth thinking about. The product is the 'comment 800' funnel into a free masterclass, the usual front door to paid credit-repair services. x-ref #335 (bs), the same 'AI + consumer law working together' pitch.
What holds up
- Caption and contact sheet read; transcript is only background music lyrics; on-screen company list transcribed.
- FTC credit-repair guidance: accurate negatives can be reported for seven years, bankruptcies ten; promises to remove accurate items are a scam red flag.
- NY AG and California AG releases confirm the Credit Acceptance multistate settlement (about $700 million, Sept 2026); no source ties any listed lawsuit to deleting individual accounts.
- CFPB's consumer reporting company list and LexisNexis's portal confirm free freezes covering LexisNexis and SageStream.
- Same phrasing and funnel shape as entry #335.
What doesn’t
- Comment-800 funnel into a 'free masterclass', standard front end for paid credit repair.
- 'Under a lawsuit, now is the time to remove them' has no legal basis.
- Encourages disputing 'every negative' account, including accurate ones.
- Advises uploading full credit reports to a chatbot without privacy caveats.
The catch
Disputes only remove what is wrong or unverifiable. The lawsuit list is a fear-and-urgency hook, and the AI is a letter writer, not a loophole.
How to actually do it
- Pull your free reports at AnnualCreditReport.com and mark only items that are actually wrong, incomplete or not yours.
- Have ChatGPT or Claude draft a plain dispute letter for those items, with account numbers and SSN redacted from what you paste in, then file with the bureau and the furnisher and keep copies.
- Freeze LexisNexis/SageStream and the big three for free if fraud is a concern; it protects you but does not raise your score.
- Raise the score the slow, real way: pay on time and keep card balances low before statement dates; use a nonprofit credit counselor if you need help.
Free tools can fix genuine errors and AI makes the letters easy to write. Nothing about a creditor being sued lets you delete accurate history, so skip the masterclass funnel.
