PARTLY Partly true: the 'free AI video editing plugin' for Premiere Pro (AutoEdit Content Creator Mode) has a free tier with four tools; the auto-editing the reel shows lives on $9.99 to $199.99 a month plans Facebook · Sep 2026

The claim'wtfffff, are we cooked editors' and 'Comment CLAUDE and I'll send you the free plugin.' AutoEdit Content Creator Mode is 'a free AI video editing plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro' that analyzes footage, removes silences and long pauses, cuts bad or repeated takes, finds stronger takes and builds an editable rough cut inside Premiere.

AutoEdit is a real Premiere Pro plugin and Eleven Percent is its maker, so the 'are we cooked' shock is a company reacting to its own product. The feature list is accurate for the paid product: silence removal, filler-word and bad-take cutting, rough-cut assembly for spoken-word footage. 'Free' is doing a lot of work. AutoEdit's own pricing page says a free account with no credit card gets four tools; the Creator Mode auto-editing runs on plans from $9.99 to $199.99 a month (or a prepaid credit bundle), the same structure this audit documented in entry #061 last month. So the plugin download is free, the editing the reel sells mostly is not. 'Comment CLAUDE' is the hook; the plugin has nothing to do with Claude beyond the word being good bait, and the download page is public.

What holds up

  • Reel caption and frames read: the caption itself describes 'AutoEdit Content Creator Mode' and lists its features; the poster is Eleven Percent LLC, which sells AutoEdit on elevenpercent.net.
  • AutoEdit's pricing page (autoeditai.net/pricing) lists a Free plan (four tools, no card), Creator Mode plans from $9.99 to $199.99 per month and a prepaid bundle; Music Video Mode is a $149.99 one-time purchase.
  • Cross-reference: audit entry #061 (Aug 11) graded the same product's 'FREE Claude Premiere plugin' claim as partly true for the same reason: real plugin, real subscription behind the headline features.
  • The 'comment CLAUDE' hook: nothing in the product uses or requires Claude; the word is a keyword for the DM funnel.

What doesn’t

  • 'Free plugin' is the download; the auto-editing shown is on paid tiers.
  • The maker posting 'are we cooked editors' about its own product is an ad in the costume of a reaction.
  • 'Comment CLAUDE' borrows a model's name for a plugin that does not use it.

The catch

Real plugin, real free tier, real subscription behind the good parts. Download it directly from the maker, try the free tools on one talking-head file, and decide with the price list open, not the comments section.

How to actually do it

  • Go to the download page directly instead of commenting; the free account is enough to test silence removal on one clip.
  • Compare the monthly plan against Premiere's built-in transcript editing and silence detection before paying; for simple talking-head cleanup the stock tools often cover it.
  • If you have podcast or interview volume every week, the mid tier can earn its keep; if you edit occasionally, the free tools plus stock Premiere are the honest answer.

AutoEdit and its Content Creator Mode are real and the feature list is accurate; the free tier is limited to four tools and the auto-editing shown is paid. The reel is the maker's own ad with a Claude-flavored comment hook. Same product and same finding as #061.
