PARTLY Partly true: the 'build unlimited apps and websites for free, 100% legit' builder does exist and does build, but 'Powered by Anthropic, a philanthropic mission just like Lovable' is fiction and nobody is named behind it
The claim34-second reel, about 40K views. On screen: 'BUILD UNLIMITED APPS & WEBSITES FOR FREE', then the presenter scrolls getaibuild.com: 'Build any app, free forever. AIbuilder is a 100% free, unlimited AI app builder. No credit card. No trial. No paywall, ever.' and a line reading 'Powered by Anthropic, offering totally free use to fight precarity. A philanthropic mission, just like Lovable.' He types a prompt ('create a platform for creating content for restaurant businesses'), a site appears, then a second prompt produces a referral-income site with a pricing page. Ends: 'Getaibuild.com'. Caption: 'This is one of the best discoveries I made lately! 100% legit and Free.'
The site is real and the reel is a faithful recording of it. getaibuild.com exists, its pricing, FAQ and terms all say free forever with no paid tier, and the reel shows it generating two pages from prompts, so 'it builds sites for free' is true as of this check. The euro prices that flash by are on a page the tool generated, not the tool's own pricing. What is not true is the sentence the presenter reads aloud as if it were a credential. 'Powered by Anthropic, offering totally free use to fight precarity' is not an Anthropic programme; Anthropic runs no such sponsorship, the site cites nothing, and its own privacy page says generation can run through 'your configured local Ollama server', which is not Anthropic at all. 'A philanthropic mission, just like Lovable' is contradicted by the site's own blog post attacking Lovable's paid tiers; Lovable is a venture-backed company with a paywall, and the badge in the corner of getaibuild.com shows the site itself was built with Lovable. Beyond that there is nobody home: no company name, no address, no founder, no funding, a contact form, terms dated May 2026 and a Cloudflare-fronted domain. A free, unlimited, no-revenue frontier-model builder run by an anonymous party is either a subsidised experiment, a data play (your email, your prompts, your generated code, all granted a hosting licence in the terms), or something that stops working the day the bill arrives. 'One of the best discoveries I made lately' and '100% legit' are a promo page's assurance, not a check.
What holds up
- Reel decoded (yt-dlp, ffmpeg contact sheet, 34s): on-screen text, the getaibuild.com homepage copy including the 'Powered by Anthropic... philanthropic mission, just like Lovable' line, two generated pages and the closing URL all read from frames.
- getaibuild.com fetched directly: homepage, pricing, FAQ, about, terms (May 2026) and privacy pages all state free forever, no paid tier, no card. No company name, address, founder or funding is stated anywhere; the privacy page references generation via 'your configured local Ollama server'; the page carries a Lovable 'Edit with' badge.
- No Anthropic announcement, partner page or programme matches 'offering totally free use to fight precarity'. Lovable is a paid, tiered product; getaibuild.com's own blog ('AIbuilder vs Lovable', Jun 19, 2026) criticises Lovable's paywall, contradicting 'just like Lovable'.
- The euro pricing table visible mid-reel belongs to a page the tool generated for the presenter's second prompt, not to getaibuild.com's own pricing.
What doesn’t
- 'Powered by Anthropic... a philanthropic mission' has no basis: no Anthropic programme exists, the site cites none, and its privacy page points to a local Ollama server as one generation path.
- 'Just like Lovable' is false and contradicted by the site's own Lovable comparison post; Lovable is a paid product, and this site was built with it.
- No identifiable operator: no company, address, founder or funding on any page. The terms grant the site a hosting licence over what you build; the privacy page collects your email, prompts and projects.
- '100% legit' is the promo page's word; the reel verifies only that the studio generates pages.
The catch
It builds pages and it is free today; the credential the presenter reads aloud is made up and nobody will tell you who runs it. Fine for a throwaway prototype. Do not put a client's business, a real database or your only copy of anything on an anonymous free-forever service.
How to actually do it
- If you try it, use a throwaway email and treat every generated project as disposable: export the code the same day and keep it.
- Never connect real customer data, payment keys or a production domain to a builder with no named operator and no revenue model.
- For a free-tier builder with an identifiable company behind it, use Lovable's, Bolt's or v0's free allowance, or build directly in Claude and deploy to Netlify or Vercel; the output is the same React and Tailwind.
- Watch for the day the 'free forever' promise meets the compute bill; the terms already say availability is not guaranteed.
The free builder exists and generates pages as shown. The 'Powered by Anthropic, philanthropic mission just like Lovable' line is fiction, the operator is anonymous, and 'free forever' has no stated revenue behind it.
