Partly true: Adaptify's 'DR45 backlinks on autopilot' is a real $499-a-site platform whose own docs say DR30+ counts, expect roughly 1 to 6 links a month, and guest posts fill the gap when outreach falls short

Facebook · Oct 2026

The claimAn SEO agency owner 'shops backlink software': vendor one offers PBNs ('tanked a couple sites'), vendor two sends 'a few emails'; Adaptify says 'we don't buy backlinks at all. No PBNs, no link swaps, no gray or black hat. Adaptify pitches real journalists and lands DR45 backlinks on autopilot,' plus 'client content posts with 30 plus quality checks, GEO for AI overviews, automatic proposals, and even full SEO roadmaps with client dashboards and reporting.' 'Use the link below, we'll move each site into our SEO and AI search stack... Your team does basically nothing. You just make the introduction and approve.' Caption: 'automated DR45+ journalist outreach... Join 1,000+ forward-thinking agencies.'

Adaptify is a real white-label SEO platform for agencies and the feature list in the ad matches its site: automated outreach, AI content with CMS publishing, AI-visibility (GEO) tracking, a proposal builder and branded reporting dashboards. The price the ad never says: $499 a month for one site, or $333 per site per month on the multi-site plan, per the pricing page's own copy. 'DR45 backlinks on autopilot' is the stretch. The backlinks feature page says 'DR45+ average link quality,' but the product docs say 'Adaptify only counts DR30+ links as placed, and the average placed link target is around DR45,' and set expectations at 1 to 3 opportunities a day, 30 to 100 pitches a month, a 5 to 20 percent success rate, 'roughly 1-6 monthly placements,' with the first placed link often arriving 'toward the end of the first month.' The outreach pulls from Featured.com, Connectively, Help a B2B Writer and similar source-request platforms, which is legitimate PR, not journalists on speed dial. And the 'no gray hat' line has an asterisk: when outreach misses, 'the system automatically writes and places a guest post on a vetted publication so the quota is always met.' Guest posts placed to hit a link quota are exactly what Google's link spam policy warns about if they carry ranking links. The 'your team does basically nothing' pitch and the '1,000+ agencies' count are the company's own claims; I could not verify the latter. It is a working product with an honest-enough doc page and an ad that rounds everything up.

What holds up

  • Reel read frame by frame: a three-character skit ('SEO Owner', 'Vendor #1', 'Vendor #2', 'Adaptify Vendor') with overlays 'NO GRAY OR BLACK HAT', 'DR45 BACKLINKS ON AUTOPILOT', 'POSTS WITH 30+' checks, 'AUTOMATIC PROPOSALS', 'AND REPORTING', 'TAP BELOW'; dashboard screenshots show a 'Backlink Building Progress' panel (12 in progress, 8 placed) and an AI brand-mentions overview (ChatGPT, Claude, Google AI, Perplexity). The transcript's 'VPNs' is 'PBNs'.
  • adaptify.ai (fetched Oct 2, 2026): 'the SEO and AI visibility platform built for agencies'; content, link building, AI visibility, white-label reporting, proposal builder; claims '1,000+ agencies' and '252 agencies automated SEO and GEO in the last 30 days' (company claims, unverified).
  • adaptify.ai/pricing page script (fetched Oct 2, 2026): '$499/month for one site, or $333/site/month for multi-site agency plans'; plan card reads '1-20 Avg. DR45 PR Backlinks per month per site'.
  • adaptify.ai/docs/backlinks: 'only counts DR30+ links as placed... average placed link target is around DR45'; opportunities sourced from Featured.com, Connectively, Help a B2B Writer; 'roughly 1-6 monthly placements'; first link 'often arrives toward the end of the first month'; do-follow only counted.
  • adaptify.ai/features/backlinks: 'If journalist outreach falls short in a given month, the system automatically writes and places a guest post on a vetted publication so the quota is always met.' Google's spam policies list paid or quota-driven guest posts with ranking links among link spam unless marked nofollow or sponsored.

What doesn’t

  • 'DR45 on autopilot' is an average target; the docs count DR30+ and expect 1 to 6 placements a month after a slow first month.
  • The guest-post fallback that guarantees the monthly quota is the gray area the ad says it avoids.
  • Price is never stated: $499 a month per site, $333 per site on multi-site, before the agency marks it up to the client.
  • 'Your team does basically nothing' and '1,000+ agencies' are first-party marketing claims; the ad is the product's own skit with a tap-below hook.

The catch

For an agency, this can replace three vendors at a known price, and source-request outreach is a legitimate way to earn links. Just read the docs before you promise a client 'DR45 backlinks': promise 1 to a handful of DR30+ links a month, ask what happens on the months the guest-post fallback kicks in and whether those links carry rel=sponsored, and keep a human reviewing the AI articles before they publish to the client's CMS.

How to actually do it

  • Trial it on one client site at the $499 single-site price for 60 days and log every placed link with its DR, traffic and whether it came from outreach or the guest-post fallback.
  • Set the backlink workflow to the option that matches the risk you can defend to the client, and require rel=sponsored on anything that was placed rather than earned.
  • Keep an editor on the AI content; the '30 quality checks' do not know the client's claims, prices or compliance rules.
  • Price the client on outcomes you can show in the white-label dashboard, not on 'DR45 on autopilot'.

Adaptify is a real agency platform with real outreach, content, GEO tracking and reporting at $499 a site. The ad rounds DR30+ up to DR45, 'a handful a month' up to 'autopilot', and leaves out that guest posts fill the quota when outreach misses.
