PARTLY Partly true: the 'advice from a $265,000 AI software engineer' reel teaches a real Claude plus Hugging Face trick, then routes you to an $89-a-month community whose outcome claims are its own Facebook · Sep 2026

The claimOn-screen: 'Advice from a $265,000 AI Software Engineer. Stop building shitty coding projects (basic RAG, simple agents, stock analyzers, chat bots etc.). Build these instead.' Caption: screenshot the Hugging Face 'Tasks' list, paste it into Claude with a long prompt asking for a 'unique and technically impressive AI engineering project' that demonstrates RAG, multi-agent orchestration, LLM evaluation and LLMOps, is shippable solo in 1 to 3 months, and maps to real job descriptions. 'Comment BETTER and I'll DM you this full Claude prompt, 27 standout AI engineering projects and the link to join BASWE.AI Engineer, where working AI engineers help you build standout projects, get interviews, and land $100K to $200K+ AI engineering roles.' 114K views, 695 reactions.

The technique is real and the prompt is printed in full in the caption, so the 'comment BETTER' step is not needed to get it. Hugging Face's Models page does list its task taxonomy in a sidebar, and asking a model to combine two or three of those tasks into a portfolio project with an evaluation harness is a sound way to escape the tutorial-project trap the reel names correctly. The '27 standout projects' and the community are the funnel: BASWE.AI Engineer is a Skool community at $89 a month (271 members, 'price increases at 500'), and its parent site sells a coaching programme with a refund-plus-$10,000 guarantee if you do not land a higher-paying AI role. This audit has graded the same coach three times before (entries 223 to 225), including the gap between the reel-era '90 days' and the site's own '176 days average time to offer'. The numbers on screen are the coach's own: '$265,000' is his stated salary ('$0 to $265,000 in 2 years' on the community page), '$100K to $200K+' is the programme's positioning, and 'helped engineers earn $2M+ in the last 12 months' is asserted without a method. None of that is a lie we can prove; all of it is unverified self-report presented as credential. The reel's actual advice, stop shipping demo RAG apps and build something with an eval harness and production patterns, is good and free.

What holds up

  • Reel decoded (yt-dlp, ffmpeg contact sheet); on-screen text and the full caption including the Claude prompt read as posted. 114K views, 695 reactions.
  • Hugging Face's Models page carries a 'Tasks' filter sidebar as the reel describes; the screenshot-and-prompt method works as stated in any vision-capable model.
  • BASWE.AI Engineer on Skool: $89/month, 271 members, 'price increases at 500 members', 'refund within 7 days', community page states '$0 to $265,000 salary in 2 yrs' and 'helped engineers earn $2M+ in the last 12m'. The parent site advertises '$200k+', a refund-plus-$10k guarantee, '$196k average AI engineer salary' and '176 days average time to job offer'.
  • Same coach previously graded in this audit as entries 223, 224 and 225 (Aug 29, 2026); the salary and outcome figures remain self-reported with no independent verification.

What doesn’t

  • '$265,000' and '$100K to $200K+ roles' are the coach's own figures; no independent source or method is given for the '$2M+ earned by members' claim.
  • The prompt is already in the caption; 'comment BETTER' exists to open a DM sequence that ends at an $89/mo community.
  • Fourth appearance in this audit by the same coach; the site's own '176 days average to offer' is a long way from the urgency the reels project.

The catch

Take the technique, skip the comment. Screenshot the Hugging Face task list, paste the prompt from the caption, and build the project it suggests with a real evaluation harness. Whether an $89-a-month community is worth it is a separate decision; make it on its refund terms and its 176-day average, not on the number in the reel's headline.

How to actually do it

  • Copy the prompt straight from the caption; it is complete. Add your actual years of experience and the domain you want to work in, or the output is generic.
  • Pick a project that combines two Hugging Face tasks you have never used, and make the evaluation harness the first thing you build, not the last. That is the part hiring managers actually read.
  • Ship it publicly with a README that states the eval numbers. One finished project with measurements beats three demos.
  • If you consider the community, read the refund terms and ask for the method behind '$2M+ earned' before paying; the burden is on the seller.

The Claude plus Hugging Face project-ideation trick is real and the prompt is free in the caption. The '$265,000' credential and the '$100K to $200K+' outcomes are the coach's own unverified numbers, and the comment keyword leads to an $89/mo community. Fourth sighting of this coach.
